Probable Formation for EURO 2008 Qualifyers Match Italy - Georgia Saturday, October 13
By Anna Italia
Based on the early morning training session at the Marassi Stadium, Vincenzo Iaquinta won't play. Iaquinta continues with flu. Most likely, Italian Head coach will go ahead with his 4-3-3 formation with the "tridente" Quagliarella instead of Iaquinta, Luca Toni, and Antonio Di Natale.
Probable formation according to this morning training:
Italy Starting Lineup (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper: Gigi Buffon
Defenders: Massimo Oddo, Andrea Barzagli, and Christian Panucci
Midfielders: Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo, and Massimo Ambrossini
Forwards: Quagliarella, Luca Toni, Antonio Di Natale
Coach: Roberto Donadoni
Notice how all midfileders are from AC Milan!
This is an advantage for Italian Head Coach Roberto Donadoni because they already have communication and understanding on the pitch. Consequently, it will be easier for Italy to win with more than 2 goals if midfielders can provide forwards with enough goal opportunities.
