First Training Session of the ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM in Coverciano for the UEFA EURO 2008 Qualifying Match Italy - Georgia

Italian head coach Roberto Donadoni had the first training session in Coverciano at 10:30 a.m in preparation for the Euro 2008 Qualifiers match Italy - Georgia on Saturday, October 13 at Genoa.
While all 22 players reported to Coverciano for their first training, Juventus
stiker Vincenzo Iaquinta was absent to follow some tests after
suffering a knock on his knee.
Practice session resume will resume at 4 p.m. The afternoon training will be closed door.
Just to lift the morale of the team and build up an optimistic attitude, President of the Italian Federation Football Giancarlo Abete attended the training along with the General Director Virginia Filippi and Marketing head Benedetta Geronzi.
Reportedly, the common topic, was again about Pinturicchio (Del Piero), "Why Alessandro Del Piero was not called for the National team? To this point, I think President Abete gave the right answer or a "politically correct response."
Abete said, " Italian soccer should be thankful to Alessandro Del Piero for what he has given to the Italian National team and Juventus." Abete reaffirmed his support to Roberto Donadoni's decision as Head coach and that Del Piero might come back again.
The point is that if a player is not fit to play, then, he should wait until being fit. I am sure Alessandro Del Piero will return to the Italian National team for future matches. YOU GO PINTURICCHIO!
