Not only AC Milan won convincingly Lazio 1 - 5 Milan on Sunday, October 7 at the Olimpico in Rome, but also eight of Milan players have been called to represent their respective national countries in the EURO 2008 Qualifications, Official Friendlies, and World Cup Qualifications.

While only 1 Milan player (Kaka) was called for the Brazilian National team by Brazil coach Dunga, five Rossoneri were called by Italian head coach Roberto Donadoni for the EURO 2008 Qualifying match Italy - Georgia, including 3 midfielders: Gattuso, Ambrosini, and Pirlo.

The young defender Daniele Bonera also had his dream come true by returning to the Italian National team. Massimo Oddo also was called to the national team.
