Week 7 - Serie A Results Seventh Round Lazio 1 - 5 AC Milan Goals by Mauri for Lazio, Ambrosini and Kaka for Milan

By Anna Italia

CONGRATULATIONS ALBERTO GILARDINO FOR YOUR AWAKENING!!!!

                            LAZIO  1 -  5 AC MILAN
                                       23' Mauri                           16' Massimo Ambrosini
                                                                                  33' Kaka (pen)
                                                                                  52' kaka
                                                                                  70' ALBERTO GILARDINO
                                                                                  77' ALBERTO GILARDINO

It seems AC Milan awoke from their negative trend after losing against Celtic for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage plus their decadent situation in the Serie A, and Lazio paid the consequences. Apart from Milan's victory, the most important thing was the awakening of Milan striker Alberto Gilardino with 2 goals.

The challenge for Milan was to win convincingly with more than 1 goal. Thus, in this regard, Milan met the challenge by winning convincingly with 4 goals difference. Thanks to the goals of Massimo Ambrosini and 2 goals by Kaka (1 pen), and 2 from Alberto Gilardino. Milan is now in the 8th position with 10 points. It went from 12th place to 8th, this is good. Lazio remained with 7 points and went down to the 14th position.

Therefore, in response to the article, "Will Lazio Defeat AC Milan After their Draw with REAL MADRID or Will Milan Rise from the ASHES to Redeem Themselves After their Disastrous Defeat in Champions League Against Celtic?," I can say that Milan redeemed themselves.

Do you agree?

How proud I was for seeing former Lazio Captain Alessandro Nesta playing for AC Milan. Nesta was superb. On the other hand, former Lazio Defender Massimo Oddo, now with Milan too. Hey, what else can Milan ask? They got 2 great defenders.

Unfortunately, it was a bad day for the young Lazio goalkeeper Nestor Fernando Muslera. Although Referee Morganti did not grant the first penalty after Muslera brought down Gilardino in the 13th minute, 3 minutes later Milan opened the score with a great goal from Ambrosini.  It was a confusion. First, Morganti granted the penalty, then, changed his mind. The linesmen changed Morganti's mind among protests of Milan players and just granted a corner.

However, in the 16th minute, Midfielder Massimo Ambrosini sent a cross surprising Goalkeeper Muslera with a superb shot from a long rage. Muslera was outside position and the ball just took a loop to go into the net. A spectacular goal.  It was Lazio 0 - 1 Milan. The second goal of Ambrosini of the season.

LAZIO-MILAN: AMBRO GOL!

Lazio did not give up and in the 23rd minute, Mauri equalized the score to the joy of Lazio f
ans. The pass was from De Silvestri who sent a low ball to Mauri from inside the penalty area. It was 1 - 1.

Milan, knowing the big dissapointment they have caused not only to fans but to the entire soccer world, were not ready to suffer another defeat.

In the 31st minute, again, a penalty. Was Morganti going to change his mind? How could he! It was a clear penalty Muslera brought down Gilardino inside the penalty area.

Kaka took the responsibilty to shoot the penalty and goal. It was Lazio 1 - 2 Milan.

LAZIO-MILAN: IL RIGORE DI RICKY
Musica and Magia KAKA blasting Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera

In the 52nd minute Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo sent a cross to Kaka inside the penalty area. The rest is history, Kaka shot from close range  and Muslera could not do anything but to start worrying because the ball passed between his feet.  It was lazio 1 - 3 Milan.

LAZIO-MILAN: L'ESULTANZA DOPO IL GOL DI KAKA'

In the 70th minute, it was the BIG DAY... A MIRACLE... Finally, Alberto Gilardino scored his first goal of the season after an assist from kaka. The ball went right between Muslera's feet, like in the previous goal.   A Day to forget for Muslera and a day to remember for Gilardino! It was Lazio 1 - 4 Milan.

LAZIO-MILAN: IL TIRO DI GILA

In the 77th minute, guess what.... the newly rediscovered Gilardino unleashed another goal. It was party time for Milan!  Ambrosini made a pass to Gilardino who was alone inside the penalty area. Too bad for Muslera... again, another goal!  It was Lazio 1 -  5 Milan.

Ladies and gentlemen somebody stops the killing!  Muslera will not be able to sleep.  Another goal will be his nightmare, but a memorable day for AC Milan.

LAZIO-MILAN: LA GIOIA DI GILA

After the match, a happy Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said, "Of this game I liked the football we played, the result, and Gilardino's goals. It was a really nice evening, we went on the pitch with a bit more conviction, it was necessary."

When asked about Referee Morganti denying Milan's penalty, Ancelotti said, "On the first penalty which was denied to us I got a bit angry, but it went well in the end."

Welcome back AC Milan, the true AC Milan, the fighters!

LAZIO-MILAN: LA GIOIA DEI GIOCATORI

It was just PARTY TIME FOR AC Milan.... while a cry day for Lazio, especially for young goalkeeper Fernando Muslera

It was about time that AC Milan reacted, don't you think?

I thought it was so touching to see the whole bench congratulate the guy, and Gattuso's pat on the back. I saw the match out of curiosity. Will Milan win, I thought. So much soccer today! Chelsea at 7am, Benfica at 11am Porto at 1 pm. Now AC Milan fans can get some decent sleep The positive results are trickling in.

Indeed, it was very emotional to see the entire team and the bench congratulating Gilardino. I love the roaring lion GATTUSO's pat on the back...

        Milan 99,
Now I can't get decent sleep! lol Benfica is in terrible shape in the Champions League group! Yeah, I follow la Roma when I can, but the teams I follow more closely are Chelsea and Benfica. Benfica need to score at least 3 goals to jump to the 3d place. Since this is a Serie A blog, I'll keep my Benfica disappointment for another place.

Indeed, May God listen to you.... I hope Giladino continue scoring and celebrate again with the VIOLINO... how I miss that celebration with the "inchino"

Inzaghi needs to refresh, I won't be negative about him because he has been more effective for Milan in the big occasion. So, I will give him a break to recharge.

Milanista, I AM SO PROUD TOO OF THE RESULT Lazio - 5 Milan...just awesome!
