Pippo and Inzaghi will be back. Like Milanista mentioned, Del Piero is stuggling with injury, not fully recovered. So, cheer up... they will be back...

Pippo and Del Piero are great but now they're good for subs. I expect Toni to be in the starting line-up. The guy is on fire! Did you see the 1st goal he scored against Belenenses?.

No doubt about LUCA TONI being on fire. Yes, I did watch his goal against Belenenses. Toni is great and I regret he left Italy to play outside when other players want to come to the Italian league. He would have benn perfect in AC MILAN.

Del Piero is still struggling with injury, while Pippo hasn't scored and you have to choose the players that are scoring...

You are right. Del Piero is recovering from injuries. He might play in Juventus without being fully recovered for few minutes. However, when the Italian national team is desperate needing the 3 points to win, fit strikers is what the team needs.

Once Del Piero is back in shape, I am sure DONADONI will call him.

Forgot to add, that I am glad to see Bonera being chosen, there was no one else to choose from.

The thing with Del Piero was that he was crap (excuse the French) the last time he played for the Azzurri, and Donadoni wanted him to play in a certain way and he refused so they are not on good terms either...

      Milanista,
You're right! How quickly people forget about his slow, uninspired performance against France. One minute, the press is saying he's not fit for the starting line-up, another minute they're missing him. I'm glad Del Piero is not there. Gli azzurri need energetic players in top shape. Iaquinta and Toni are just- can't be in better shape! Forza Azzurri!

Milanista and Ricardo15, I will agree with you about "THIS TIME" not including Alessandro Del Piero because he is not at his top level. However, I won't disqualify him for future calls once he returns to his top level and play according to the coach instructions.

Energetic players is what the Nazionale need... Iaquinta and Di Natale are a great striker couple...

Gigi Buffon.. still at his top!
