                               1 (44' Seedorf)           1 (73' Pisanu)

While AC Milan display good football in the Champions League, the magic disappears in the Serie A.  Milan could not win at home, and obtained an embarassing draw.

With no other alternative than obtaining a victory to be among the top teams to fight for the Scudetto, instead of winning, Milan keeps falling down the Serie A Standing.  This is not acceptable. No excuses. Period.

It is time for Milan to wake up and give the same football quality in the Champions League and in the Serie A.

Seedorf scored in the 44th minute when Pippo Inzaghi sent a shot that Parma goalkeeper Nicola Pavarini saved, but rebound just to the foot of Seedorf who sent the ball right into the net.  It was 1 - 0.

Though, Parma almost equalized the score when Milan goalkeeper DIDA punched a ball right in front of Parma midfielder Stefano Marrone who missed the opportunity to equalize the game.

The first half finished 1 - 0.

In the 50th minute, Parma wasted two free kicks.  Midfielder Andrea Pisanu sent a pass to Bernardo Corradi but it was too long finishing in the hands of the rossoneri goalkeeper Dida.

In the 58th minute, Milan had the chance to score the second goal when Pirlo sent a long pass to Seedorf. Still, Milan had possession of the ball and Pirlo sent again a long pass to Inzaghi.

In the 62nd minute, Dida got a yellow card.

In the 72nd minute, Ambrosini sent a cross to the far post to Massimo Oddo but did not reach the net. Surprisingly, a combination between Reginaldo and Pisanu did the miracle.

In the 73rd minute Pisanu sent the ball to the net silencing San Siro.  It was 1 - 1.

Finally, in the 74th minute, the moment comes for Alberto Gilardino, when Carlo Ancelotti substitute him for Seedorf.

Milan seem lost, not finding the way to score, while Parma attacks.

In the 80th minute,  Parma substitute midfielder Andrea Pisanu for defender Ferdinand Coly.
Milan substitute defender Massimo Oddo for defender Marcos Cafu.

Parma keeps attacking, wanting to score the second goal.  Milan is not concentrated.

In the 82nd minute, yellow card for Parma, Castellini

In the 84th minute, yellow card again for Parma, Morrone

In the 88th minute, Parma again missed another opportunity to score. Reginaldo sent a cross and is missed by Corradi.

In the 90th minute, yellow card for Parma, Pavarini.

In the 91st minute, now, Milan fighting to win the match.  Ambrosini's effort becomes a dancing ball with no one to score. Emerson lost the chance to score when losing control of the ball and get a shot off.

Milan, seem desperate, the fans are whistling, there is no roaring tiger Gattuso to motivate the team.

Pavarini saved a ball.

Come on Milan, come on, come on, ....

In the 94th minute, a dark shadow falls in San Siro.  Whistling and a feeling of deception by the fans of the rossoneri. Just an embarassing draw which is not acceptable coming from the 2006 - 2007 UEFA Champions League and the 2007 UEFA Super Cup champions.

NOTE:
Parma deserved the draw for believing in the miracle and giving everything they had in the last minutes.

I watched this game on FSC. I think Parma in the first half gave one of the worst performances so far this year. Milan could not take advantage of that and it came back to haunt them. In the second half, Parma really started attacking and had their shots been more on target, they would have won surprisingly.

Kenntak, what happened was that PARMA started believing in themselves when not finding the so-called CHAMPIONS of the Champions League.. it was a different Milan. Thus, once they scored, they believed in the miracle. Started attackig, and attacking, and attacking... while Milan seem lost, out of concentration until the very last 3 minutes where MILAN tried to wake up and score... by that time. IT WAS TOO LATE... the dark curtains have fallen over San Siro.

So do you think the Milan fans in San Siro had the right to whistle at the players at the end of the game?

Of course, fans did what they had to do. Enough is enough. Even myself, I had it. I was so disappointed with that result that i just cannot believe what I was seeing. Like KENNTAK said, Parma played bad the first half, but on the the second they came energized especially the last 30 minutes. What it upsets me the most, is the bad display of Milan's football. Totally different than what they show in Champions League. Is not that we got a draw with Roma or Juve.... but Parma, with all respect, helllo. period, no excuse. I would have whistled the team too. Just inconceivable.. worst, at home! helloooo.

Milan99... don't even start me on how UPSET Milan fans were at San Siro. They had all the right to protest. It is just not acceptable, Milan has no excuse for not winning convincingly, not even protecting a SINGLE goal.... again, I could have swallowed a draw with JUVE or Roma,, but a draw with Parma no, no way jose. On top of that, GILARDINO...sorry to say, but he has to grow up and like Ancelotti said in his press conference. He has to learn to isolate mentally so the exterior won't affect him. No, I just cannot swallow this draw... and I restrained myself when writing the article... but I am going to write a strong one... including my response to Maldini's comment about the fans. I, as a Milan fan, had it. I want the strong Milan, the one playing in the Champions League, same one in the Serie A. period..... gee... It is almost midnight, and I am still upset.

I totally agree with you. I AM ALSO TIRED of these drawing games... Milan has no excuse and I --as an ardent fan -- would join the ones in San Siro with all the whistlings.. it is just not acceptable, not acceptable at all, and I repeat it again.. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Milanista, I think Ancelotti have to wake up and smell the coffee... there cannot be a Champions League if Milan does not remain among the top 4 teams.

Palermo is next... well.. I see danger because MICCOLI is inspired, besides, they will be encouraged by seeing that "every serie A team" seems to know Milan's strategy.

I say fire the coach Ancelotti. The players need new motivation, energy. He's been a successful coach but loosing points so easily in the Serie A is unacceptable. He can't manage both competitions anymore. He can't motivate Gila, and other MIlna players to give their 100% in a Serie A match.

No, I do not agree with you. Ancelotti might have some fault. If you talk about motivation, then what do you with Sir Alex Ferguson who has been the coach for Manchester United longer than Ancelotti for Milan?

Gilardino has to grow up. He has the support from Ancelotti and all the team. But if he does not believe in himself as a great striker, than, there is nothing you can do. It is up to the individual to change, just as Adriano decided to change by "him" taking the decision to return like the one he used to be.

Anyone see FSC's Super Sunday Plus show today? I saw the part where they talked about this Milan - Siena game and wanted to know if you guys agree on something. The guy in the middle, don't know the name commented that Maldini needed to retire last year because physicially he's unreliable and the defense becomes unstable. I agree with him, you?
