Palermo concentrates in the SERIE A Match Against Cagliari After Beating 1-0 Mlada Boleslav for the UEFA Cup

Palermo is flying high in Europe defeating Mlada Boleslav in their own stadium in the first round of the UEFA Cup on Thursday, September 20. Mlada Boleslav 0 - 1 Palermo.
Although Mlada Boleslav had many chances to open the score, they could not convert those opportunities in goals.
The only goal was by Palermo midfielder Serb Bosko Jankovic in the very last minute, right in the 90th minute when Fabio Caserta found a space and sent a cross to Jankovic "I am happy first of all because Palermo won, having scored was a double satisfaction," said Jankovic.
The enthusiastic Jankovic, reaffirmed that their aim "was to win and fortuneately we were able to do just that: We knew we were to meet an non easy team just like all the teams from the east and Mladà demonstrated just that".
Midfielder Fabio Caserta, who made his debut with Palermo said, "I am happy for the debut and for a horse's hair there wasn't a goal
but I am happy all the same. We suffered a lot but we were very good in
defending and attacking able to score . As far as I am concerned after much
bitterness at the end a little joy came on through. Now I only hope to find as
soon as possible a better condition".
An ex Palermo and ex Fiorentina player, Luca Toni, also scored in his European debut the only goal for his new team Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich 1 - 0 Beleneses.
Closing the UEFA Cup chapter, now Palermo concentrates in their next Serie A match against Cagliari.

Palermo is motivated with their victory in the UEFA Cup, it might give them the extra punch to beat Cagliari.
