List of Italian Serie A coaches and Salaries. Do you know who is the highest paid coach of the Italian SERIE A?

By Anna Italia

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, September 13, 2007), the highest earning coach of  the Italian Serie A 2007-2008 is none other than FC Inter coach ROBERTO MANCINI.

Incredible so, the article continues, Mancini makes 5 million euro, and guess what, there is more.

Mancini who only won the 2005-2006 Scudetto of the Serie A makes 500,000 euro more than AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti, who not only endured the penalty year of AC Milan by qualifying the team to the UEFA Champions League, but winning the 2006-2007 UEFA Champions League and not only that, also winning the 2007 UEFA Super Cup.

Ah, and just before I forget, Carlo Ancelotti has just won the Best Coach Award for the 2006-2007 Season by the European Sports Magazines.  How do you like that?Maybe Ancelotti needs a good public relations. Are you talking to me?

Curiously, Silvio Berlusconi, who is considered the richest man in Italy is also the owner of the famous team AC Milan.

Why Berlusconi is not rewarding --as Ancelotti deserves by merit-- with a higher salary?

Hey, at least to cover the difference with FC Inter coach Roberto Mancini.  Sure, Mancini is a good coach, but comparing to the "palmares" of Ancelotti, there is no comparison.

On the other hand, AS Roma coach Luciano Spaletti makes 2 million euro. Here, I see no problem at all. Spaletti has proved his good coaching technique and presenting last season with maybe the best soccer / football of the Serie A.

Continuing with the list, FC Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport makes 1.5 million euro.

Now, talking about Italian soccer players and their salaries. La Gazzetta dello Sport also revealed that Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, better known as KAKA, is the highest paid with 6 million euro a year.  Comparing to what KAKA has done for MILAN and what he is doing, it is well deserved.

KAKA was not only a key player  in AC Milan to win the 2007 UEFA SUPER CUP, 2006-2007 Champions Leage, but also he was selected as best best striker, and UEFA Club Footballer of the YearKaká was also the top scorer with 10 goals.  Forza KAKA!

The second highest paid Italian soccer player is
AS Roma captain Francesco Totti
with 5.45 million euro.  Although Totti retired from the Italian National team, he just won the 2006-2007 Golden Boot Award. Here also no problem.  Forza TOTTI!

Here is the complete salary list of the 2007-2008 Italian Serie A coaches:

1. Roberto Mancini (Inter) €5 million
2. Carlo Ancelotti (Milan) €4.5 million
3. Luciano Spalletti (Roma) €2 million

6. Walter Novellino (Torino) €1 million
7. Stefano Colantuono (Palermo) €.9 million

10. Delio Rossi (Lazio) €.55 million

13. Luigi Del Neri (Atalanta) €.45 million
14. Gigi Cagni (Empoli) €.45 million
15. Silvio Baldini (Catania) €.35 million

19. Massimo Ficcadenti (Reggina) €.25 million
