Matches Results from September 12th with AC Milan Players: EURO 2008 Qualifying and International Friendlies


These are the results of matches on Wednesday, September 12 with various AC Milan Players representing their respective national teams in the EURO 2008 Qualifying, EURO Under 21, and International friendlies.


  • EURO 2008 Qualifying Group B - The Italian national team faced Ukraine in Kiev and won 2-1 thanks to a brace by Udinese midfielder  Antonio Di Natale.
AC Milan Midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini were decisive, as they respectively provided the assists for the first and second goals, with former AC Milan  
                                      Ukraine captain Andriy Shevchenko scoring the equaliser for Ukraine.

           Also in Italy's Group B, Scotland beat France 1-0; with this victory, the  
          British side are group leaders.


           These are the standings after today's games: Scotland 21 points, Italy 20, France 19, Ukraine 13,
           Lithuania 10, Georgia 7, Far Oer Islands 0.

  • EURO 2008 Qualifying Group D - A goal from AC Milan Defender Marek Jankulovski, who was on the pitch for 90 minutes, allowed the Czech Republic to beat Ireland in a Group D qualifier. Jankulovski played well (he was named man of the match by Uefa.com) and found the net for his national team again after scoring a great goal for Milan in the Montecarlo UEFA Supercup final against Sevilla.
  • EURO 2008 Qualifying Group E - There was a big win for Croatia, who beat Andorra 6-0 away from home, even though AC Milan defender Dario Simic did not play.

  •  EURO 2008 Qualifying Group G - AC Milan Midfielder Clarence Seedorf did not play, but his Holland beat Albania with a goal in added time by Van Nistelrooy.
  • EURO Under 21 France team AC Milan Midfieldier Yoann Gourcuff' did not play this afternoon.  Here  is the report and match stats on the French FA's website. France beat Malta 2-0, with goals by Gouffran and Bellaïd.
