Italy Under 21: CASIRAGHI - "FAR OER AND ALBANIA EASY ONLY ON PAPER WE NEED CONTINUITY"

Rome 04/09/2007 -  (FIGC)  - Two weeks after the 2-1 win in the friendly match against France, the Under 21 team coached by Casiraghi is back on the field for the Euro qualifications.

Two matches for the team on Friday, the 7th, in Trento against the Far Oer Islands and Tuesday, the 11th, in Durazzo, against Albania that they beat in June 4-0 in the European debut of the new Under 21 team.

Things are back on track and Casiraghi has no doubts:

"On paper - said the coach - these are two easy matches, but we know well that at an international level you can have problems against any opponent, even those that may seem to be the easiest. The match against the Far Oer Islands should be the easiest, but I do not want to just sit back: think of how the major National team suffered in their match against them, so we must not underestimate any opponent because they will do all they can to make a good impression against us".

At the same time, however, Casiraghi is confident about his team:

"My Under team - he explained - has good qualities offensively and a lot of quantity at midfield: we have to find the right mix and improve as far as continuity during the ninety minutes is concerned. We have to play as we have up until now, with the offensive mentality that is our characteristic, without, however, taking too many risks".

For the Under 21 team, this was the first day of training. All were present, even Rossi joined the group. Lorenzo De Silvestri, the nineteen-year old Lazio defender, is the new player on the team.
