Serie A Comment on the Telegraph about "Ranieri must put a new gloss on Juventus"
My comment in response to the article Ranieri must put a new gloss on Juventus
published on 8-25-07 by the English newspaper "Telegraph."
---------------
Although I am an AC Milan fan, I am happy for the return of Juventus, la vecchia signora, in Serie A. Players were not responsible for Calciopoli.
Your article credit Coach Claudio Ranieri "leading Juventus back into Serie A as Italy tries to forget a season of scandal." However, you did not credit at all the efforts done by former Juve player and Coach Didier Deschamps. Unlike Fabio Capello who abandoned the ship, Deschamps said, "I am here."
Therefore, credit for Juventus return to Serie A goes to Deschamps, and the players staying with Juventus while the ship was sinking, especially: Captain Alessandro Del Piero (the true symbol of JUVE), Gianluigi Buffon, Pavel Nedved, Mauro Camoranesi and David Trezeguet. After the efforts of the above, credit goes to Ranieri.
The 2007-2008 Serie A will be more competitive with Juve back, and AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Lazio, without penalties.
So, watch out INTER!
Forza Italian Serie A!
