Do you think AC Milan should start hiring younger players?

AC Milan just signed 31-years-old Brazilian midfielder Emerson after playing with Real Madrid for one season.

Do you think Milan should start hiring younger players?

Yes, I do not understand why AC Milan keep hiring old players, not that they are really old but would be better to hire younger players 20-25 yrs old to reinvigorate la squadra. For example, PATO is a good signing. But Emerson at 31...

    Ciao Pietro,

Emerson is a great midfielder, no doubt about it.

Yet, I agree with you that Milan should have signed a younger midfielder to rejuvenate the team.

On the other hand, thinking about team harmony.  It seems a good signing because Milan is pampering his Brazilian players to make them feel comfortable, at home, talking their same language, sharing Brazilian meals, music... So, hey... we never know... KAKA - CAFU - RONALDO - EMERSON - DIDA -  SERGINHO... who else....

    ah... next... Ronaldhino??????

    Welcome MILAN BRAZIL!

    It's SAMBA TIME alla Italiana!

Anna, those are excellent observations and that is exactly how I see it. I think team unity, harmony and camaraderie is more important than the age of players. AC Milan has created a nice little Brazilian haven that has attracted a number of Brazilian players. It goes without saying that Brazilians are among the best football players in the world. When one of the Brazilian's contract is up he would probably be somewhat reluctant to leave the "family" for another team.

Team unity, harmony, and camaraderie is what predominate in AC Milan. There is no point having just BIG NAMES and have a second "galacticos" problem, like it happened in Real Madrid.

You are right, Brazilians feeling at "home" feel more reluctant to leave a "family home team." It is like abandoning your own family. This is why Sheva's departure, without a valid reason, was seen as a betrayal to the family, la famiglia del AC Milan.
